Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about how Hora Mundial Agora calculates the time, ensures accuracy, detects your location and works across devices.
How is the time calculated?
The time is computed live, right on your device (in the browser), without relying on a server for every update. We use your device clock as the base and apply the official time zone of each city.
Each time zone follows the international IANA/TZDB standard — the same database used by Windows, Android, iOS and Linux — so the time shown matches your phone or computer.
Is the time accurate? What is the margin of error?
Yes. Because the calculation runs on your device, accuracy depends on your device clock. If your date and time are set to automatic (synced over the internet), the difference is usually under one second.
If a time looks wrong, check that your device date and time are set to automatic. A clock that is off is the most common cause of incorrect times.
Does the site handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The IANA/TZDB database includes the daylight saving rules for each region, with the exact dates it starts and ends. Transitions are applied automatically, so you always see the correct time, even on switch days.
How do you detect my location?
First we make a fast estimate from your IP address, which gives an approximate city and time zone. This is instant and needs no permission.
If you allow precise location (GPS/Wi-Fi), we refine the result to show your exact city name and more accurate weather. You can decline this permission and still use the site fully.
Why does IP location sometimes show the wrong city?
IP geolocation is approximate: it points to your internet provider's location, which can be in another city. Mobile networks, VPNs and proxies can also change the result.
To fix it, allow precise location when your browser asks, or use search to open your city's page directly.
Do you store my location data?
We do not store your precise location on our servers. Detection happens in your browser and is only used to show the right time and weather. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use the site on multiple devices?
Yes. The site works on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops, in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). The layout adapts to your screen size automatically.
Nothing to install and no account needed — just open the address. You can also add it to your phone's home screen for quick, app-like access.
Do I need an account or have to pay?
No. The site is completely free and requires no sign-up. You can check times, convert time zones and view weather with no barriers.
Where does the weather data come from?
Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo, a public, open-source service used worldwide. We show current temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind, UV index and a 7-day forecast.
I found an error. How do I report it?
Thank you! Email contacto@kreamentoria.com with the city and the time or weather shown incorrectly, so we can check and fix it as soon as possible.
